You do play quite well.

Though I must ask, have you tried your hand at composing your own songs?

Musicious responds:

Thank you!
No, I'm sorry to say that I didn't do that to this day. Maybe I'll give it a go.

For me at least, this song seems to have the opposite of the intended effect. It feels very invigorating, like something I would wake up to, rather than fall asleep to.

Then again, that may just be due to the fact that I lead a low-energy lifestyle.

This reminds me heavily of my own work, particularly, (F) _Soaring_.

The song itself has some very rich sound to it, and looms over me well. However, I do feel that it is missing something. Perhaps if there was more harmony to the chords in the background, but then again, that is just my personal taste.

(If you want to know what kind of music I really get into, just listen to BingSatellites' new song 'grain drift'.)

Nevertheless, this is an area of music I don't see you in often, and, for what it's worth, you pulled it off well. Glad to see you are still producing and experimenting!

A suggestion!

The song works well as a high score board song.

However, the inclusion of the voice at the beginning would loop over and over again with the song, and that would get annoying.

I would suggest removing it, and offering it as a separate sound file to anyone who wants to use this in their game. That way they can make it only play once in their game.

Flalaski responds:

yeah, I thought it might be too. good idea! I'll add that to my comment.

Thanks!

Cool!

It has quite a bit of energy to it! Makes me think that this is a fusion of sorts between your new stuff and your older songs.

SineRider responds:

yeah it is a bit quick for my usual style 140bpm ;) This is almost like an abridge version because my entry has to be 3 minutes or under, so I cut out some of the repetition.

By the way, I've been using your new tunes to sleep every night, great stuff ;D

Hmm...

So you made a digital draft for a song you plan to perform later with real instruments? An interesting idea. The song in this form is not bad, and I could definitely see it being used in a retro-style game.

Flalaski responds:

yup hehe. i actually wrote it in real life first, then remade it with drums and junk. would likeit in a game! should master it first huh. thanks!

Analog, eh?

The beat is a tad off at times, but I have an extremely soft spot in my heart for analog music! This composition definitely hits that spot, and hard! Reminds me heavily of early Aphex Twin or Autechre.

Marvelous!

Reminds me very much of my own work, but more structured! The soft piano and melody give this song an extremely solid and satisfying experience to listen to!

You sir, have caught my eye!

I certainly get the vibe!

As I listened to this, I did get the feeling that I was observing the surface of a planet that, at one point was teeming with life, but is now empty.

The melody carries this song well, and the fact that you didn't do something cliche' like going into some sort of beat or drum loop helps this song stand out to me.

Kudos,

Kogasu responds:

Oh, hehe I am absolutely horrible with beats to the point that I barely use them LOL! I'm not too fond of beats in music like this either it's why I like ambient music because it can have these nice melodies and no beats to change the mood or the feeling of them. I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for your review!

Certainly a unique specimen!

While there is not much in the way of an actual melody, it does provide a unique and interesting sound-scape. It does seem kind of unfinished, though. As it is, however, I find it very relaxing. It is mellow in the way that most songs on NG are not.

For that, you have my attention. I will be sure to visit your other works.

Kogasu responds:

Well thank you for your review! Yes, it was only a piece of a longer song....but well the song as a whole is absolutely horrible..... this is what I would consider the only somewhat DECENT part of it. I'm glad you at least find it relaxing. :D
