Not bad, though I think this one was a bit too similar to Firth's work.

Imo, the 'sibling' looked a bit like Homestar Runner. Was that intentional?

Also, I do appreciate the nod to the true classic piano piece of our time, but I felt it was not quite earned like it was in Salad Fingers 4. Perhaps of you had made this longer and given its 'story' time to expand.

Was more of an experiment, trying to learn after effects, but yeah, it's a bit firthy. He's a big insperation. The homestar similarity was accidentally at first but I decided to run with it. I hope to make more story driven work soon.

The ideas are there. The character is there. Now you just need to get the drawing style there.

I'm not gonna suggest you make it look more like a traditional animation. That's boring. However, it is apparent that you are still starting out when it comes to animation. Keep working on your craft, and take notes when watching other peoples' animations you like, and you will get there eventually.

The animation wasn't bad by any means, but on Newgrounds, we expect cartoons of more substance.

You're off to a good start with the style though. If you expanded this and added some music at least, you'd have a good thing going here.

thankyou, i appreciate the constructive criticism, a lot of the work on newgrounds blows my mind, 'Mr Bees' comes to mind. the guy that does that has some skill. It was actually 'Hyun' of those awesome stick fights that told me about macromedia 8> I know i have a long long way to go before imanywhere next to that caliber of animation, but fingers crossed. Its very time consuming, i worked on this for about four days for a few hours a day. it only takes so long as im self taught. hopefully the next vid i do will be better.

I thought the animation was very well done, and the music was a very good choice. Did not quite understand the beginning silhouette sequence, but I shall let artistic liberty fly for this one.

Thank you and I completely agree! I've actually got 7-10ish 5 minute episodes planned out (depending on length, right now I'm trying to keep them under 5 minutes a piece) and a rough animatic for one of the episodes.
