Not bad at all! I could definitely use this in a future project, granted it's alright with you.

Any particular reason why downloading is disabled?

Feywer96 responds:

Sure - I'll have to PM you the link :-)
Download links are disabled because I don't want people to download my tracks and potentially call them their own, so, I give tracks if people ask :-)

You know... I could use this in something.

Do I have you leave to take this with me? It may be a year or two before you see the result.

Skyrta responds:

you sure do.

It is interesting to hear a song like this slowed down this much. Personally, however, I would have taken the steps to soften the instruments as well. Make it something to sleep to.

Just a thought.

TheChiga responds:

Brilliant observation indeed. Thanks very much.

The song carries itself well, it kind of reminds me of something I'd hear during a battle in Custom Robo, specifically the Noodle Bowl arena.

The ending was a bit avant-garde, which definitely puts it above most songs on here, which tend to not have endings. Still, I think I might have added another flute section there had it been me.

Still, not bad, not bad at all.

JandreParis responds:

Thank you kindly! Man, Custom Robo gives me all the memories. Grand game that was.

Always love pushing the boundaries ;) Another flute part? Hmmm... perhaps! Actually gives me an idea...

Much appreciated!

I think the song carries itself well, but it is a little too noisy for my tastes. Also, I find it to be a bit grating on repeat. Perhaps you could expand this and bookend it with calmer sections?

Csucskos responds:

Thanks for the review.
I wanted to be noisy like this but I might expand it. That's a great idea because I really like that song. ;)
Yes there is something with the looping but I can't fix it sorry. (I've tried many times.) So the best idea is to finish the song and not let it loop like this.
So thanks again for the suggestion.

This is an ambitious song, but it has several problems.

The instruments, while nice-sounding on their own, do not harmonize well. This is especially apparent when three are playing at once.

There is very little feeling of progression in the song. For that reason, it either should have been shortened to about 3 minutes, or altered half-way into the song.

Keep trying, and keep experimenting to see which song ideas draw you in.

TheHoodedFiend responds:

Yeah that's how I felt but also at the same time I felt that person who's good at painting but they think that's missing something, so they add an extra layer of paint. I dig the critique though, I do have the ideas but transferring them from mind to actuality gets me from to time.

Great stuff!

The bass line is groovy, and the instruments work sublimely together. The ending was a tad off, but I don't blame you, since ending a song like this can be a bit tricky.

One day I will harness the power of this kind of music in my own work.

IndustryStandard responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Yeah I wasn't quite sure how to end the song, but even then it didn't quite end quite how i wanted it to... I wanted a bit more of a resounding boom, like a heavy door slamming shut in a cave, but I'm happy with it overall.

I like it.

I could definitely see using this in something odd and dark.

Azhthar responds:

Thanks a lot for the input! Glad you like it. When I now listened to it with a bit of distance I would have done something a bit different. Anyway... Love your ambiental pieces as well. They are perfect listening during work.

The song is excellent on a technical standpoint. No issues with any of the instruments, and everything flows nicely.

I do feel however, that it builds up to a false climax. I was hoping for a little more bang near the end.

Lethal-Input responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to make a part with more bang, but I couldn't get it down, so I ended up going with the somewhat calmer part after the break

Hmm... Unique AND well constructed!

This ain't half bad. The instrumentation is lively and it sounds like its own song too! The only thing I would suggest doing would be to shorten it somewhat, or make the second half more distinct than the first. You definitely have a knack for this sort of thing. Keep it up!

Felocai responds:

Yeah I think you're right I could make it a little shorter but I just wasn't thinking about it then.
Anyway I'm really glad you like it, thanks for reviewing :3
